Portland Metro Housesitting and Pet Care - FAQ's
What kinds of animals do you care for?
- All domestic animals: cats, dogs (large & small), guinea pigs, rodents, small reptiles, birds, etc. & I've cared for more exotic pets like sugar gliders.
Do you have any pets?
- Unfortunately, no. My current living situation does not allow me to own my own pets. :(
What do you charge?
- Please see my rates on the main page. Please contact me with any special needs or concerns. One solution doesn't fit all.
Do you board animals?
- No. I'm neither set up, nor licensed for that.
Are you licensed, insured, & bonded?
- There isn't a licensing procedure for pet sitting or house sitting in Oregon. I am insured & bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas.
What do you require of me?
- Before you leave (or you need me as a dog walker or pet taxi), we'll need to schedule an orientation. That way, I can meet your pet(s), they can meet & become comfortable w/ me, & I can learn your routine. You can either give me a key at this meeting or we can schedule another time for me to get your keys. Your keys are returned to you when you return.
How do I pay you?
- I accept checks & cash. I have a service contract for you to fill out & sign. When you pay is up to you. You can pay all up front ($ left w/ contract for me on my first visit), half up front/half afterwards, or when I return your keys.
